Job Description

Due to an internal promotion an exciting opportunity has arisen to be the primary contact and conduit between Members of Parliament and the internal services they require to carry out their roles effectively. You will need to have exceptional skills to influence others and ensure everyone plays their part in achieving a seamless and successful outcome for the Members. You'll be both proactive and reactive in this role, being able to respond quickly to urgent requests and deliver on time while maintaining a positive relationship.

Every day will bring a new challenge. One day you will help with security issues, and another will see you manage the opening of a new office for a Member in their electorate/ region - that's why your persuasive talent will need to be top notch. Knowing the right people to go to will be your greatest testament to maintaining healthy relationships across the organisation so networking will be second nature to you.

To excel in this role, you will need to have excellent attention to detail, know when to react quickly to requests and change direction at the last minute without losing your cool. Your excellent record keeping will be admired by all and getting results without creating a bad feeling is a must. It goes without saying that you'll have the ability to build trust quickly and gain the confidence and respect of people across the board.

If this sounds like a challenge you are up for and you have a proven track record as a team player with trust and integrity, we would like to hear from you.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week.

Applications close Sunday, 21 July 2019.
