School of Biological Sciences
Kelburn Campus

We are recruiting for a Technician to join our technical team in the School of Biological Sciences to support the wide range of teaching and research programmes within the School.

You will be responsible for undertaking electrical and mechanical repairs on a wide range of electronic and scientific equipment, completing specialty projects, and supporting the purchase of new equipment. Our new workshop spaces in the award winning Te Toki a Rata building are fully equipped with modern fabrication processes including laser cutting, CNC milling and 3D printing for specialty projects.

If you have a relevant electronics qualification, an Electrical practicing license (minimum EAS), experience with electronic and mechanical repair of equipment, and ideally some experience with mechanical workshop equipment then we look forward to hearing from you.
