Internship: Designer Organisational Development

New Zealand Police – Organisational Development

Police National Headquarters, Wellington

Fixed Term 4 months

$20 per hour

Vacancy 2181

New Zealand Police is transforming the business of policing in New Zealand, and has shifted from a response driven model to prevention focused policing.  We need to work differently to achieve our challenging business outcomes and we are determined to do it.  We have invested in a framework that connects our strategy, culture, leadership, capability and performance to enable us to become truly high performing.

"Good design goes unnoticed".  That is what Organisational Development needs to make the initiatives that support this framework quick and easy for our managers and staff to pick up and use. If you can transform complex concepts and lots of information into products that people want to pick up and return to, then we want to hear from you.

To be successful in this role you will have:

The drive to deliver results, ability to identify solutions and positive attitude to making change

Engaging communication skills that reach people from diverse backgrounds whether it's written or spoken

The ability to take complex ideas and make them appear simple.

Three years or more of a design qualification.

What you'll get in return:

A supportive environment that will celebrate your design skills and support you to develop them further

The ability to contribute your ideas to make real change in a large and complex organisation that is focused on New Zealand becoming the safest country

A fun loving team with a manager who genuinely cares about your career and personal development
