Marketing Communications Manager

New Zealand Police

Do you want to work for a high profile organisation making a huge difference for New Zealand?  NZ Police are recruiting for a Marketing Communications Manager to lead and implement our external engagement strategies. You will have the drive, experience and insights to support NZ Police's role in keeping our communities safe.

 

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Public Affairs, you will lead a small team managing NZ Police's brand, marketing and reality TV participation, and well as overseeing our social media and online channel engagement.  You will manage our recruitment marketing approach, which seeks to improve the diversity of NZ Police over time to better reflect the communities we serve.

 

This leadership role is key to enhancing public engagement and community trust and confidence.  You will be used to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will have experience delivering quality and effective communications and campaigns over a variety of channels.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to build excellent working relationships with senior Police leaders, our partner government agencies and external suppliers. 

 

Duties include:

Advertising, brand and reality TV management

Supporting NZ Police to meet its recruitment targets

Strategic management of NZ Police social media and online channels

Risk and reputation management

 

Skills and experience required:

A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or a related field

Experience of developing and delivering strategic and tactical programmes of work

Proven team leadership and relationship management abilities

A knowledge of working in the public sector is preferred
