Logistics Supervisors at Te Papa, Wellington - Wairarapa

Te Papa stands proud as an iconic national building housing the treasures of the nation and is a vibrant destination for both national and international visitors. We've now also partnered with Wellington City Council to operate Tākina, Wellington's newest Convention and Exhibition Centre. Our Venues team is world-class, delivering the event operations and hospitality across both Te Papa and Tākina.

Te Papa is seeking Logistics Supervisors to join our Tākina Events Team.  In this role you will be responsible for the set-up and pack-down needs for our Te Papa Venues events and functions. We are after team members that have great attention to detail, can plan ahead and solve logistical issues across our many functions and events we run each day.  If you are great team player, want to be part of providing amazing events in some of Wellington's most iconic function venues, then this is the job opportunity for you.

Ideally you will have:

• Prior experience in working to and with hospitality service levels
• Prior experience in logistical planning
• Prior experience with supervising an events/hospitality team
• Customer-focused attitude
• Excellent organisation skills
• Good relationship building skills and the ability to motivate and get results from working with a broad range of people and within a team environment
• Attention to detail
• Preferably hold a Manager's Certificate and current First Aid qualification

We operate 7 days a week and therefore your flexibility to work over a 7-day roster including Public Holidays and weekends are essential criteria, as is the flexibility to work in varying locations across Te Papa and Tākina. The work across our operation is busy, fast paced and in a fantastic, friendly team environment, so come join us!

The appointing salary for this role will be $55,000 to $65,000 with further room for progression through the band.
