About the role

  • Registered Nurse - PSAID Inpatient IDPH, SMHS
  • Permanent - 0.94 FTE
  • PSAID a specialist mental health inpatient unit, working with people who have both a mental illness and an intellectual disability is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Specialist Mental Health Nurses
  • We welcome you to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team and be involved in all aspects of client care, including liaison with family and key services
  • This role is very stimulating and we will provide a comprehensive orientation, a supportive team environment and on-going education, including regular in-service and access to additional study support

Skills and experience

  • You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with a current NZ practicing certificate and scope to practice in Mental Health
  • You will be a confident practitioner with exceptional patient assessment skills
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a wide variety of people, is paramount in this role
  • Excellent communication skills and passion to work towards the best possible outcome for your patient, inclusive of their family/whanau will be imperative to your success in this role
  • Align your practice with the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
