About the role

The new acute services building in Christchurch will see Ward 22 move to a state of the art new paediatric medical facility, on the edge of the picturesque Hagley Park. This is an exciting opportunity to join our cohesive paediatric team and to be involved in a time of significant change for child health. We have fixed term roles available in Ward 22 for experienced RN's to join us in our paediatric medical ward covering, both a parental leave and winter flex covering over our busy winter period.


  • Part time - Rostered shifts as required by the service

Skills & experience

  • Current NZ nursing registration, annual practising certificate and recent child health experience in either a medical or surgical area
  • A passion to engage with and provide holistic care for children and their families
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a dynamic multidisciplinary team
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confidence, initiative and a proactive approach to work
