About the role

  • Clinical Nurse Specialist - Infection, Prevention and Control
  • Reporting to the Clinical Director - Infection, Prevention and Control
  • Permanent - full-time
  • Adhere to guidelines of Cultural Safety and the Treaty of Waitangi
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist providing leadership, education, case management in specific situations and support to clinical staff across the service
  • Currently based at Christchurch Hospital, but may be required to cover DHB wide

Skills and experience

  • You will possess knowledge, expertise and leadership skills and have the ability to apply this to your daily practice creating the most equitable pathways for both staff and patients
  • You are a senior Registered Nurse who holds, or is working towards, a relevant post graduate qualification
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise competing acute demands
  • Whakawhanaungatanga (ability to forge and foster relationships)
  • Whakamanaakitanga (ability to treat others with respect, encouragement and support)
  • Whakakotahitanga (ability to work in your role and actively participate and align this to our organisational values and goals)
