About us

Working for the Canterbury District Health Board - working for the Community. At its core, our vision is dependent on achieving a truly collaborative, 'whole of system' approach where everyone in the health system works together to do the right thing for the patient and the right thing for the system and our community as a whole.

About the role

The Children's Haematology Oncology Centre (CHOC) is one of two tertiary paediatric oncology centres in New Zealand. We provide inpatient and outpatient care for up to 50 new diagnoses per year. Our regional services provide shared care support for children and their families in the South Island and lower North Island and we participate in high quality clinical research programmes with most children in our service enrolled on clinical trials.

We are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse, preferably with paediatric oncology experience to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team to continue to ensure the quality care for the children within our service.

We seek to provide clinical excellence; therefore Nurses are supported with their professional development and ongoing learning needs.

If you believe you could make a positive contribution to the lives of children and their families, we would like to hear from you.
