About the role

  • Nurse Educator - Burwood Site, Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation
  • Permanent full-time role
  • Reporting to the Director of Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation, based at Burwood Hospital
  • Responsible for the delivery of nursing, Continuing Education and Professional Development for nursing clinicians, committed to best practice outcomes for those accessing our services
  • Adhere to guidelines of Cultural Safety and the Treaty of Waitangi

Skills and experience

  • You will be a registered nurse, hold a current annual NZ practicing certificate and have the legal right to work in NZ
  • You will be an experienced nurse working within a clinical setting or relevant senior nursing role
  • You will be someone who has a passion for adult education, has some exposure in this area such as, but not limited to: preceptorship, in-services or class-room based teaching experience and a desire to develop this role and your own capability to meet the needs of the service
  • It will be desirable if you hold or are currently working towards, a relevant post graduate diploma or masters

  • Whakakotahitanga (ability to work in your role and actively participate and align this to our organisational values and goals)
