Job Description

New Zealand First are looking for a graphic and web designer with a high level of initiative and creativity. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and working closely with the Director of Communications, and Members of Parliament, you will be responsible for providing graphic design services, creating high quality digital content and monitoring digital channels.

A snapshot of some of your daily responsibilities and accountabilities include the following:

  • Produce graphic content suitable for social media, print and infographics, vector illustrations and web design
  • Videography and photography services
  • Ability to produce a range of digital assets and design projects
  • Work with the team to assist with digital content projects

This newly created role will suit someone who has experience in graphic design or visual design and skills in videography and photography. To succeed in this role, you will have worked with Adobe creative suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar. Working closely with Members of Parliament and other key Stakeholders, it is essential that you have strong communication skills.

Ideally you will have a firm grasp of New Zealand First principles and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

This role is for 40 hours per week and is an events-based position. Some flexibility of working hours will be required according to the business of the House.
