About the role

Are you passionate about child health and looking for a new challenge? Ward 21 has a fixed term, part-time role available in our paediatric nursing team, caring for children who are undergoing a variety of elective and acute surgical procedures. Join our service and you will be able to work in collaboration with a large multidisciplinary team to provide quality paediatric care in a busy ward environment. To ensure best outcomes for our children it is preferable that you have recent child health experience, engage well with children and their families, are flexible, adaptable and have excellent communication skills.

If you are an interested and dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Child Health the ability to work rostered rotating shifts and would like the opportunity to develop your paediatric surgical nursing skills then apply now!

Working:

  • Registered Nurse - 0.8FTE
  • Rostered shifts to suit the service

Skills and experience:

  • Current NZ nursing registration, annual practising certificate and recent child health experience in either a medical or surgical area
  • A passion to engage with and provide holistic care for children and their families
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a dynamic multidisciplinary team
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confidence, initiative and a proactive approach to work
