Job Description

Here at Christchurch Hospital we're looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our medical specialties and neurosciences team working in the areas of oncology and haematology in a fixed-term position for 12 months covering parental leave.

Our Physiotherapy team work collaboratively to provide a comprehensive service across the hospital campus. The medical specialties and neuroscience team support each other to cover specialty services including acute stroke, general medicine, nephrology, neurosurgery and neurology.

You will have the opportunity to further develop your leadership capabilities, while supporting the medical specialties and neurosciences team, including supervising and mentoring rotational staff and final year physiotherapy students, taking part and leading service development.

Skills and experience

We are looking for Physiotherapists who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to build rapport and rapidly hit the ground with the energy and passion to deliver a high standard of care to patients. Working as a member of a multidisciplinary team you will need to be flexible and adaptable with an enthusiasm for knowledge sharing across and beyond your discipline.

Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy board is essential and preferably you'll have demonstrated specialist experience and professional development.
