The Role: What This Opportunity's All About

This role will see you facilitating the Cancer Multidisciplinary (MDM) Meetings within the Oncology Department, where Senior Clinicians meet to discuss and recommend the best treatment and care plans for patients.

In this fast paced environment responsibilities include:

  • formatting agendas for MDM meetings; you will be responsible for several meetings a week so a high level of organisation is required
  • interacting with a range of senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • attending the meetings and filling out electronic forms on a live displayed screen in real time
  • arranging the attendance of external people via videoconference and managing any technology issues that arise
  • providing administrative support, including data entry and data management
  • provide reporting and some analytics to the MDM electronic system.

About you

We are open to your background; perhaps you are an experienced and highly organised PA looking for a more varied role; someone with a clinical background interested in moving into an administration based position or a Senior Administrator or coordinator looking for a new challenge.

Some of the things that would be beneficial to help you succeed in the role are:

  • experience organising and coordinating meetings, or strong administrative skills that would translate well into this role
  • excellent computer skills (including the use of videoconferencing equipment)
  • excellent communication skills and confidence to communicate with people at all levels of the organisation
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • strong administrative and typing abilities
  • a high level of confidentiality and professionalism and a "solution focused" approach to tasks.
