Our team of skilled advisors work on a diverse range of activities, delivering high quality, business-focused advice and services to MSD, Oranga Tamariki and the Social Investment Agency.  We are now shaping up our programme of work for the coming year to modernise the enterprise's recordkeeping environment and practices.


About the Role

The Information Management Officer role assists with the operation, development and maintenance of a proactive and professional information/records management system. This is a hands-on, entry-level position into the information management profession.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • ensuring data, documents and other records are managed to agreed policies, standards and procedures
  • providing strong customer service, and recordkeeping services to customers
  • providing services for processing records to offsite storage facilities
  • undertaking audit activities to identify data improvements required in the recordkeeping systems.


Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • an interest in information/records management principles, methodologies and conventions
  • strong problem solving skills
  • high level of accuracy with good attention to detail
  • strong client focus, communication skills
  • the ability to work in a continuously changing work environment and able to prioritise and plan workload
  • excellent IT skills, including Microsoft products.
