About our Team

Our team of skilled advisors work on a diverse range of activities, delivering high quality, business-focused advice and services to MSD, Oranga Tamariki and the Social Investment Agency.  We are now shaping up our programme of work for the coming year to modernise the enterprise's recordkeeping environment and practices.

 

About the Role

The Information Management Advisor assists with the delivery of proactive and professional information management advice, drawing on our enterprise frameworks including retention and disposal, information architecture, capability building, access to published information, and recordkeeping policies and guidance.  The role also assists with the management and improvement of recordkeeping systems including Objective and off-site storage repositories.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • providing leading edge advice, knowledge and information management services to clients, business groups, project teams
  • contributing to the development of information management policies and guidance
  • identifying and contributing to improvements to the management of electronic recorded information.

 

This is a varied and challenging role in an ever-changing environment, so we will value your ability to confidently build effective relationships with stakeholders and take a flexible and pragmatic approach to solutions.

 

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • experience in an information management team in a professional services or public sector organisation
  • an appropriate professional information or knowledge management qualification or equivalent operational experience
  • an understanding of information/records management principles, methodologies and conventions.

 

Previous experience in delivering recordkeeping advice and support services, problem definition and requirements gathering, information systems training, data analysis, embedding recordkeeping requirements, or business process improvement is desirable.
