About the role

The Risk Analyst role assists the Risk Manager by performing control testing, thematic reviews and executing the compliance monitoring programme. The role also assists the business to strengthen the control environment and uplift the risk and compliance culture.

As our new Risk Analyst your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Performing control testing on identified controls in consistent and methodical manner
  • Reporting control testing results and any recommendations or treatments in a clear and consistent manner
  • Developing and uplifting the control environment through control testing results and overview of the process
  • Collaborating and assisting with second line risk queries
  • Identifying control gaps and assisting the business to re-mediate

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate a solid control testing background, risk management and compliance experience.

What we need from you:

  • Ideally a minimum two years practical and relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of risk management and compliance within New Zealand
  • Ability to engage and influence others
  • Ability to recognise efficiencies and process improvement
  • Being able to articulate and communicate ideas to a wide audience
