About our Team

The Safe, Strong Families and Communities (SSFC) team sits within the Community, Partnerships and Programmes business unit at MSD. The current focus of the SSFC team is MSD's response to Sexual Violence, Family Violence and Building Financial Capability across New Zealand.

About the Role

As an Advisor, you will support service development and its subsequent implementation as needed. The core component of this role is working with the Sexual Violence work programme.


This is a fast-paced role in an achievement-focused workplace. You will support service design and engagement processes from end-to-end. This includes supporting the team in developing and implementing services using the client voice and providing high quality advice for various stakeholders.

To be successful in the role, you will:

  • support the planning, coordination and delivery aspects of social service development
  • have proven experience building and maintaining working relationships
  • support project management and coordination activities for the team
  • provide practical solutions for complex issues
  • have resilience when working with sensitive issues


We value experience and knowledge in these areas:

  • co-development or human centered design
  • understanding of machinery of government
  • project management and coordination


We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals, with relevant prior experience in community and social services.
