Senior Advisor, People Culture & Inclusion (PCI) - Wellington

About MSD

The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) is the lead agency for the social sector.  MSD provides policy advice, and delivers social services and assistance to young people, working age people, older people, and families, whānau and communities.  We work directly with New Zealanders of all ages to improve their social wellbeing.

About our Team

The People, Culture and Inclusion team is responsible for the effective design and development of critical organisational development and performance initiatives, projects and programmes of work, to ensure that our workforce has the right skills and qualities to lead social development in our new context.

About the Role

The Senior Advisor is responsible for leading, supporting and contributing to the design, development and delivery of significant organisational performance and development projects and, at times, leading discrete pieces of work or streams within these.

Key areas of work will include:

  • the development, implementation, communication and on-going review of people strategies, policies and initiatives across the Ministry
  • the delivery of solutions, many times in a project context that will fully support the achievement of the Ministry's people and business strategies
  • actively contributing to the overall effectiveness of People, Culture and Inclusion and the whole HR group
  • championing diversity and inclusion through all work programmes, strategies and policies across the Ministry.

We promise you'll never get bored!
