Job Description


The Corporate Services team is part of the wider Finance, Strategy and Performance Group and is responsible for providing sustainable, efficient and effective corporate services within Customs.

Key to this role will be:

    • Carrying out Reception tasks and duties as allocated including: 

        • Welcoming on-site visitors, facilitating their arrival and departure

        • Monitoring building access and issuing passes as required

        • Arranging taxis for staff and visitors as requested

        • Answering telephone calls, redirecting or taking and delivering messages as required

        • Travel, accommodation and rental car bookings

        • Providing accurate travel advice to travellers

        • Purchasing goods and services

        • Mail, courier, uniform, dry cleaning and identity card distributions


    • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

 

    • Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.


As the Receptionist, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality Reception services and administrative functions as required by Customs. Ideally you'll have previous experience in a customer-focussed role where your professional attitude, calm manner and sound judgement ensure quality standards are maintained.
