Manager, Performance Audit Practice and Methodology

The Office of the Auditor-General | Te Mana Arotake(the Office) is focused on significantly enhancing its influence and impact on the public sector to deliver better results for Aotearoa New Zealand. We are looking for someone to;

  • lead our performance audit practice management and methodology function;
  • ensure performance audit methodology, policies, and practices remain current; and
  • help deliver high-quality and timely performance audits.

As Manager, Performance Audit Practice and Methodology you will take ownership for the efficient delivery of the Auditor-General's annual programme of performance audits, manage resource distribution across the wider Performance Audit teams, and ensure performance audit methodology is fit for purpose.

To successful in this role, you will need:

  • a tertiary qualification and a solid background in business analysis, internal audit, research techniques, audit, or public policy/administration;
  • experience in successfully planning and managing complex projects through to delivery, including the co-ordination of resource internally and externally;
  • high levels of self-awareness; and
  • exceptional organisational skills.
