Senior Advisor, People (Senior HR Advisor)

The Office of the Auditor-General | Te Mana Arotake (the Office) is focused on significantly enhancing its influence and impact on the public sector to deliver better results for Aotearoa New Zealand. We're looking for an experienced, trusted, and credible HR practitioner who can actively partner with our Business Groups to ensure that their people have the capabilities and experience to deliver the Office's goals and strategies. We are interested in how you and your experience will add to our People and Capability team.

Some of the aspects to be successful in this role include:

  • significant experience in applying Human Resource methodologies, tools, and techniques; 
  • proven experience in managing complex employee relations issues;
  • advanced ability to build and maintain strong and influential relationships;
  • demonstrated experience in facilitating groups and leading projects and initiatives;
  • a high level of resilience; and
  • a great sense of humour!

You must be able to gain and maintain a Confidential national security clearance. Ordinarily, this means that you must be a New Zealand citizen, be a permanent resident, or hold a current residency class visa and intend to become a citizen when eligible. You must have a five-year checkable background in NZ, UK, USA, Canada, or Australia.
