Frontline Support Officer

New Zealand Police

Salary Range $48,188.00 - $65,197.00

Permanent, Fulltime (shift work)

New Zealand Police are looking for a motivated, dynamic problem solver to join our frontline support team based at Palmerston North police station.

 

You will work as an integral member of the team of four who provide critical support to the daily operations of New Zealand police employees who operate from Palmerston North station. Your role will include providing all round administrative support (including the preparation of court documentation), working at our station front counter (where you will provide advice and assistance to the public) as well as other key tasks such as telephony, property and exhibit management. Given the nature of policing you will find the work varied and stimulating.

 

Hours of work are between 7am and 10pm on a shift roster basis which will be discussed with the successful applicant.

 

Experience - you will have:

  • demonstrated ability in the use of digital information management systems
  • demonstrated ability to work as part of a team focussed on delivering quality service to stakeholders i.e general public and organisation employees
  • demonstrated ability to identify problems, generate solutions and make decisions

 

Skills - you will be able to:

  • enter, update and report on information, complaints and other matters that require general file management
  • communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • manage time effectively to complete work and meet deadlines

Qualification Requirements:

  • A current First Aid certificate is desirable but not essential.
