Job Description

  • Range of External and Internal Communications
  • Take charge of our social media channels
  • Prepare content for a range of communications channels

We are looking for a committed, smart communications professional who wants to take the next step in their career.  You will need to be savvy with social media, able to manage the introduction of social media channels, and engage with external and internal stakeholders.  You will also need to prepare material for a wide range of publications and channels, so that our key stakeholders are kept informed and updated.  Your key audiences will include consumers, pharmacists and prescribers (both hospital and community) and PHARMAC staff.

What are we looking for?

You will have 5+ years' experience in a communications team and enjoy contributing to the broad communication function and a variety of projects. People rate you for your highly developed writing and verbal communication skills and your experience across a range of channels including web, digital and publications.

You are an effective relationship developer and possess the nous to work things out yourself, think ahead to an end result and add value. In particular, as PHARMAC develops its channels, you will take full responsibility for the management of content on social media and help manage responses.  

Part of the role includes developing written content for a wide range of publications and newsletters with content re-shaped for different target segments.  Enthusiasm, energy and intellectual curiosity will be highly valued in this role.  Job satisfaction will come from working across a wide variety of activity in a collegial and high performing team focused on making a difference to the health outcomes for New Zealanders.

You will be part of our Communications team which is eight staff from a variety of backgrounds. We have a supportive and collegial environment and you will be working with a broad range of PHARMAC teams to deliver results.
