Senior Communications Advisor at Ministry of Social Development, Wellington - Wairarapa

• Six month fixed term

MSD's future state programme is developing and delivering how the Ministry will look in the future to achieve its strategic direction - Te Pae Tawhiti, and the aspirations of Te Pae Tata (our Māori strategy) and Pacific Prosperity (our Pacific strategy). 

We need an experienced communications professional to help shape and tell that story as it develops, and ensure stakeholders are engaged at the right time and in the right way.

You'll:

• Develop and manage the communication and engagement plan
• Plan and deliver ongoing, engaging communications for a range of internal and external audiences
• Work across portfolios/business groups to ensure a joined-up story
• Monitor communications for effectiveness and adapt and adjust as needed

Skills and experience

This is an opportunity for someone with senior communications experience in large change programmes. 

You'll be a story teller with the creativity to develop engaging communications delivered through a range of channels.

You'll need to be able to build and maintain strong relationships.
