Housing New Zealand is a Statutory Crown Entity responsible for providing high quality state housing to people in the greatest need, for the duration of their need, alongside supporting the government's priorities in the supply of emergency and affordable housing.

Our vision is 'Building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders'. We are looking for an up and coming HR superstar, to work with an experienced and dedicated HR Support Services team. The HR Service Centre Specialist supports the business by effectively and efficiently responding to and resolving queries by managers and staff.

In this role you will be providing internal customers with a seamless, cohesive and solutions focussed end to end HR service, providing exceptional customer service to all. This is an exciting role with potential for development in the wider HR functions and is a stepping stone to a career in HR positions.

What you'll need to bring:

  • The ability to understand, anticipate and focus on customer needs. You will keep promises and set high standards for levels of service
  • Confidence applying detailed technical and or professional expertise, you will renew your job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development and share your expertise and knowledge with others
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; ensuring facts and figures are correct, complete and consistent
  • Willing to accept responsibility and make decisions based on experience, education and understanding of business needs
  • An understanding of yourself and others with the ability to adapt to the team and help build team spirit to optimise our team performance. You will recognise and reward the contribution of others and value our diverse team
