Housing New Zealand is a statutory Crown Entity responsible for providing high quality social housing to people in the greatest need, for the duration of their need, alongside supporting the government's priorities in the supply of emergency and affordable housing.

This role is part of the Project Practice team, a multi-functional team which supports across the People, Technology and Change Group and the wider business particularly in the delivery of projects throughout the solutions life cycle.

The Project Practice team is a team of 31 professionals who enjoy their work and making work fun and exciting. As a member of the team you will have exposure to many kind of projects from policy and process to construction. You will also help shape an evolving team and be part of a culture of excellence, trust and delivering as one team .

Reporting to the Manager Project Practice, we are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator with strong administration and coordination skills to support the project managers with documentation, plans and reporting on key projects for Housing New Zealand.

To be successful you will have:

  • Sound experience in Administration and Project Coordination working in ICT based organisations, in roles with high level scheduling and coordination
  • Knowledge of project life cycle and best practice standards
  • Organisational skills, especially the ability to multi-task and prioritise, often with tight time frames
  • Good written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and in plain language
  • Excellent word processing skills and proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good customer and partner relationships through daily interaction
  • Ability to work with the bigger picture while maintaining a high degree of accuracy at a detailed level
  • Sound judgement, discretion and proven ability to work under pressure
