Housing New Zealand is a statutory Crown Entity responsible for providing high quality social housing to people in the greatest need, for the duration of their need, alongside supporting the government's priorities in the supply of emergency and affordable housing.

As New Zealand's largest Social Housing provider we have a big part to play in addressing the Country's current housing need. As well as increasing our delivery capacity we are also investigating innovative industry solutions.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager to help deliver the planned volume work programmes which fall within specific regional work streams in the Wellington region.

The Project Manager position will be part of the Asset Development Group - working within a matrix where the accountability for the planned work programme resides with the respective Senior Programme Manager. With a significant pipeline of work around the country, this is an exciting time to be involved in the future of New Zealand's Housing and to be a part of our multi-disciplinary approach.

To be successful you will have:

  • demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects with multiple demands, priorities, issues and risk
  • experience in achieving strategic outcomes within budget
  • proven ability to maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders
  • previous experience working in property or construction
  • a Project Management qualification (is highly desirable).
