Job Description

Housing New Zealand is a Statutory Crown Entity responsible for providing high quality state housing to people in the greatest need, for the duration of their need, alongside supporting the government's priorities in the supply of emergency and affordable housing.

Housing New Zealand's vision is 'Building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders'. To help us achieve this we are currently recruiting four Managers for our regional Intensive Tenancy Support teams.

In this role you will be accountable for the leadership of a regional team of Intensive Tenancy Managers and the Senior Tenancy Partnership Advisor. The key focus for your team is to work with our highest need tenants to understand their needs, build trusting and respectful relationships and link them with appropriate local or national support organisations.

What you'll need to bring:

  • Experience leading and developing teams across multiple geographic locations
  • Experience in the mental health sector or with clinical supervision
  • The ability to drive yourself and your team forward during times of change and ambiguity
  • Ability to develop operational excellence, effectiveness and efficiency within your team
  • Knowledge of working with different cultures and community groups
  • Strong social and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of issues, priorities and concerns facing our key customers
