Job Description

  • Permanent full-time position
  • Based in our Auckland office

Housing New Zealand is a Statutory Crown Entity responsible for providing high quality state housing to people in the greatest need, for the duration of their need, alongside supporting the government's priorities in the supply of emergency and affordable housing.

Our Health, Safety and Security team supports our people across the organisation to ensure they are safe in their day to day roles and also provides strategies and solutions to continually improve and comply with health, safety and security best practice. This role focuses on enabling and supporting our people managers to be successful health and safety leaders.

What you'll need to bring the following:

  • A tertiary degree or equivalent experience in the health and safety field
  • Previous experience in a field advisory role in a large organisation
  • Strong knowledge of the practical application of legislative requirements
  • Proven investigative skills using a range of methodologies
  • Providing training and instruction to a wide range of audiences
  • Confidence completing audits to specified standards including WSMP
  • Knowledge of security in a large organisation would be of benefit but not essential
  • A full, clean NZ driver's licence
