Secondment Opportunity

Are you a skilled policy professional looking for a meaningful short-term opportunity? We are seeking a Senior or Principal Advisor to support our upcoming regulatory reviews.

About the Ministry

The Ministry for Regulation is a small government agency with a big job to do.

We're focused on lifting quality across all regulatory systems and supporting agencies with regulatory responsibilities to align with good practice. We want it to be easier for businesses to innovate, grow and comply, while still ensuring the benefits from regulation that we take for granted won't change.

We are a small group of dedicated professionals, working in a 'can do' environment.

About the Role

This role sits within our Reviews and System Capability business group. You'll be part of a team working on one of our regulatory reviews. We're looking for someone who can be available quickly, up until August 2026 - although we are also keen to hear from you if you have a slightly different timeframe in mind.

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

• Has experience working across government agencies

• Is analytical and brings policy expertise

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and delivers high-quality outputs

• Is hands-on and willing to roll up their sleeves.
