  • Annual salary of $115,518 plus five weeks annual leave

The role

Housing New Zealand's vision is 'building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders'. To help achieve this, we require an experienced Senior Communications Advisor to join our Wellington team. In this role you will provide external communications advice and services to Housing New Zealand's business groups.

You will also be a strategic thinker who can build strong relationships with key stakeholders (such as other Crown agencies and departments) and deliver high quality communication services. You will represent the function of communications, stakeholder engagement and marketing at all levels of Housing New Zealand.

What you'll need to bring:

  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Broad communications experience (promotion, print, media, internet) and has led communications programmes
  • Public sector communications experience (understands the requirements for effective communications in a government/state sector environment)
  • A quick thinker able to make decisions
  • Able to juggle and lead multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results - has built a good reputation in their area of expertise
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
