The role

Housing New Zealand's vision is 'building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders'. To help achieve this, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Stakeholder Manager to join our Christchurch based team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and nurturing key relationships with Community Housing Providers.

You will have strong stakeholder and engagement skills. You will also have great interpersonal and communication skills and be passionate about achieving positive results for Housing New Zealand and our tenants. The work is varied, fun and energising. You'll be contributing to positive social change and making a real difference.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • defining Housing New Zealand's aspirations, role and a practical work programme with the Community Housing Provider sector in a post-Social Housing Reform environment
  • developing a strong working relationship with Community Housing Aotearoa as the Community Housing Provider peak body
  • acting as a 'triage point' for Community Housing sector approaches to Housing New Zealand
  • working with parts of the organisation which have existing Community Housing Provider relationships in support of sectoral responses
  • interacting with stakeholders purposefully and supporting delivery on organisational goals.
