The role

Our vision is 'Building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders.' To help us achieve this, we are currently recruiting for a Programme Manager.

Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you will be working with a variety of development partners, Contractors and Consultants delivering various Asset Development Group development and redevelopment work programmes. This requires strong influencing skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure to ensure that all agreed contractual deliverables are achieved.

Housing New Zealand is currently the biggest residential developer in the country, with a substantial portfolio of works all across New Zealand. Your role will include managing multi-storey, high value projects in Auckland, and programmes of work in various regions of the North Island. The Senior Programme Manager will rely on your commercial acumen and technical expertise to keep projects and programmes on target. You will be working with senior professionals recruited from around the world, and will be given opportunities to grow your skill set on a daily basis.

What you'll need to bring:

  • Experience managing large and/or complex programmes of work, including overseeing multiple construction projects
  • The ability to review and implement processes and procedures of deliverables
  • Prowess delivering programmes and projects on time, within budget and to standard
  • Relevant technical knowledge and qualifications
  • Demonstrated work in the property and/or construction industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and in plain language
  • Computer literacy in the Microsoft suite of products, particularly Word, Excel, Visio and MS Project
