The role

Our vision is 'building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders.' To help us achieve this, we are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to help deliver the planned volume construction work programmes which fall within specific regional work streams in the Wellington region. You will be part of the Asset Development Group, working within a matrix where accountability for the planned work programme resides with the respective Senior Programme Manager.

Housing New Zealand is currently the biggest residential developer in the country, with a portfolio of works that spans from stand-alone houses in rural areas to multi-storey complex buildings in the heart of Auckland.

You will be working with senior professionals recruited from around the world, and will be given opportunities to grow your skillset on a daily basis. This is an exciting time to be involved in the future of New Zealand's housing, and to be a part of our multi-disciplinary approach.

What you'll need to bring:

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects with multiple demands, priorities, issues and risks
  • Experience in achieving strategic outcomes within budget
  • Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders
  • Previous experience working in Property or Construction
  • A Project Management qualification is highly desirable
