Job Description

  • Fixed-term role or secondment for 12 months
  • Based in either our Porirua/Lower Hutt/Kilbirnie/NOW offices
  • Annual salary of $63,550 plus five weeks' annual leave (pro rata)

The role

Our vision is 'Building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders.' To help us achieve this, we are currently recruiting for two Asset Management Coordinators to help ensure the existing asset portfolio is effectively managed to meet the strategic targets of Housing New Zealand.

The team is responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of the portfolio, managing the upgrade and maintenance programmes and measuring the performance of the housing stock in such a way as to ensure that the assets are ready to let, customer-worthy and meeting the current and future tenant needs.

Prime responsibilities will include:

  • supporting the Asset Managers and Portfolio Managers for all regions across New Zealand
  • coordinating, monitoring and measuring risks and issues within the team
  • providing regular operational reporting requirements for the Asset Management team.

What you'll need to bring

  • Knowledge of the management of residential property assets, real estate, construction and property investment
  • Knowledge of property legislation including the Fencing Act, Resource Management Act, Residential Tenancies Act and Unit Titles Act
  • Experience supporting and formatting documentation including business cases and co-ordinating regular reporting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literacy in all Microsoft products, with above average competency in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Outstanding team and collaboration skills, with the ability to demonstrate successful relationship management with both internal and external stakeholders
