  • Full-time, permanent role (until June 2020)
  • Based in our Auckland Regional office
  • Annual salary of $185,269 plus five weeks' annual leave

The role

Our vision is 'Building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders.' To help us achieve this, we are currently recruiting for a Manager - Inspections to promote consistency and quality of inspections across our newly-established Building Consent Authority.

You'll ensure the successful management of inspections work through allocation and forecasting, whilst providing effective coaching, training and mentoring to inspections staff.

What you'll need to bring:

  • An established background in construction management or a building regulatory role, including experience in inspections in these environments
  • Demonstrated practical management, leadership skills and people skills
  • Sound building technical knowledge, application and awareness, coupled with strong legislative understanding (including revoked legislation)
  • Environmental awareness and appreciation of potential impacts of relevant trends and legislation
