New Zealand Police is the lead agency responsible for reducing crime and enhancing community safety. We work in partnership with communities and a range of agencies to achieve our vision of Safer Communities Together. 


To meet the new and increasing demands of modern policing in New Zealand we are ramping up our recruitment drive and are looking for a Selection Specialist to join our Recruitment Hub based in Tauranga. 


Our team is made up of recruitment professionals who work together to ensure the delivery of quality police recruits for the Middle & Upper North Island police districts. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about recruitment to join a highly successful brand.    


You will have recent and extensive experience in end to end recruitment, and use of recruitment tools, from either an agency or internal role.  Being able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and experience of behavioural based interviewing, psychometric assessment tools and their use in the selection process is essential.


You will enjoy being part of a high functioning team, have sound judgment, an eye for detail and an ability to build rapport with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and cultures. You will enjoy working in a fast paced, high volume environment.


Travel is a part of this role, which is likely to be up to 5 days per month. 


You will work with a range of technologies to manage key aspects of the recruitment process and deliver high-quality outcomes. Therefore a high degree of computer literacy is essential.
