  • Based in our Manukau, Auckland office
  • Annual salary of $98,500 plus five weeks' annual leave and a suite of insurances

Ko tā mātou mahi - Our role

The Healthy Homes Guarantee Act was passed in December 2017 to enable standards to be set to make rental homes warmer and drier. The standards cover heating, insulation, ventilation, moisture ingress and drainage, and draught stopping. The standards come into force 1 July 2019 and Kāinga Ora and Community Housing Providers must comply with the Healthy Homes Standards by 1 July 2023,c. We will also be exceeding the standards in relation to ensuring a home can achieve World Health Organization Guidelines for indoor air temperature, meaning a whole of house heating solution that will achieve 18 degrees or more.

We require an experienced Project Manager. Within this role you will be responsible for ensuring the programme is delivered within the compliance timeframe, quality and financial parameters set.

This will require regular reporting and monitoring for outcomes and communicating to internal and external stakeholders. As the Healthy Homes Programme will operate alongside other work programmes or interventions e.g. redevelopments, this role will need to work closely with Asset Management to gain an understanding of the long term view of the portfolio to ensure effective investment in the portfolio.

  • A project or programme-related qualification
  • Desirable experience as a Prince 2 Practitioner
  • Proven ability to competently manage projects with multiple demands, priorities issues and risks
  • Ability to understand, anticipate and focus on customer needs.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
