Job Description

The TEC - Te Amorangi Mātauranga Matua is a small Crown agency with a big job to do – ensuring New Zealanders have the skills and the knowledge they need to ensure lifelong success to build a great country. We lead the Government's relationship with the tertiary education sector in New Zealand and provide career services from education to employment.

 

Nau mai, haere mai! Ngā Ihirangi, the Content Team, in the Strategy and Design Directorate, provide impartial guidance and information to support the tertiary study system and help New Zealanders plan their careers.

 

We want superstar content developers to make sure our content is engaging, accessible, relevant to our users, uses correct te reo Māori and in plain English.

 

 

We want:

2 X full time permanent content developers

 

What will you be doing?

 Refreshing content or creating new content for TEC websites such as careers.govt.nz, tec.govt.nz, publications and resources.

 Oversee website sections to make sure content is up-to-date and relevant to our users

  Suggesting improvements and innovations and taking part in projects to create a new website, website tools and resources

  Working with other teams inside and outside of TEC to fix bugs and improve and innovate content.

 

What can you bring?

Experience and skills in:

 quality writing: for the web in CMS systems (Silverstripe an advantage), publications and educational resources

 creating content to briefs (content templates)

 accepting feedback on content and making changes

 creating content for a range of audiences

 finding sources, building ongoing relationships and interviewing

  creating images, infographics and video content

   working in an agile environment, reporting bugs, creating content to deadlines

   career education or tertiary study

    te reo Māori, plain English and government web accessibility standards.
