Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori

Revitalisation of te reo Māori is at the heart of what we do here at Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori. Our mission is to give effect to the status of te reo Māori as an official language, to promote te reo Māori as an ordinary means of communication and as a living language, and to lead the coordination of implementing Te Maihi Karauna (Crown Māori Language Strategy).

We provide an environment where the Public Sector, Private Sector and wider communities can value, learn, and speak te reo Māori. We want all New Zealanders to celebrate and enjoy te reo Māori as part of our national identity  – everywhere, every way, and every day.

About the Role

The Executive Assistant (EA) will support our Directors within the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) by working closely with them to insure they are well positioned to deliver on their strategic goals.

On a day-to-day basis, you will provide administrative and secretarial support and coordinate meetings on a regular basis and where required.

About You

You will have the ability to work effectively across the activities in your role, be a natural decision-maker with good judgement and have the ability to think and work well under pressure.

You will be a trusted advisor dealing with confidential matters and be able to demonstrate this professionally and with agility.

You will also have the ability to communicate and write in both English and te reo Māori.
