The opportunity
Roles like this don't come around often at Audit New Zealand. If you're an experienced Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant, we're interested in hearing from you. Applications will also be considered from experienced PAs/EAs who are keen to assume office management responsibilities.
In your dual role as Office Manager and Executive Assistant, you'll support Audit Directors and Audit Managers, who are committed to improving the performance of, and the public's trust, in the public sector, as well as ensuring that our Hamilton Office runs effectively and efficiently.
You'll undertake a variety of activities, including:
- general EA support: diary, meeting, and travel management;
- document formatting in line with corporate styles, with responsibility for finalising the presentation of our client documents;
- portfolio management assistance;
- managing local supplier contracts;
- liaison with the property manager;
- local budget management; and health, safety, and well-being-related activities, including representing the Hamilton Office on various organisation-wide committees.
This is a sole charge position in a professional services environment with strong connections to the public sector, so you'll need to have high integrity.
About you
To be successful, you'll have:
- excellent attention to detail;
- strong self-management and organisational abilities;
- excellent Microsoft Word knowledge and well-developed formatting skills;
- adaptability, with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple pieces of work simultaneously;
- a results-focused approach to ensure that deadlines are met;
- strong communication skills and the ability to easily build solid professional relationships;
- the ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a positive and flexible attitude; and
- the ability to work as part of a team, with the competence to think on your feet, showing sound judgement and initiative.
About us
As an organisation, people matter to us, our independence is critical, we act with integrity and courage, and we're here to make a difference.
Working here means we can offer you:
- Learning and development opportunities.
- Flexible working arrangements (hours/days).
- Health and well-being benefits.
We have a diverse and inclusive team that helps us to understand the issues facing the public sector and how these affect the lives of New Zealanders. We strongly welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
