Job Description

ACC is part of New Zealand's DNA. Our role is to give New Zealanders the confidence that if they have an accident we're there to help them. Our vision is to create a unique partnership with every New Zealander, improving their quality of life by minimising the incidence and impact of injury.

To achieve this, we are focused on ensuring our clients receive the right care, at the right time, in the right way. More broadly, we want to improve the experience of those who interact with us, including injured people, levy payers and healthcare providers. Our organisational wide strategy is to deliver change that puts our customers at the heart of what we do. It's about improving our customers' outcomes and experience.

The Workplace Safety and Levy team uses human centred design and agile implementation processes to design and implement products and services that enhance the experience our business customers have with ACC and support continuous improvement across New Zealand's health and safety system.

About the role:

As the Investment Manager, Levy and Workplace Safety you will be responsible for ensuring the investment of the Work Account injury prevention and product/incentive development funds are targeted to maximise the return to levy payers. This position also ensures the performance of the delivery partners meets the necessary standards and timeframes to maximise benefit realisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Establish and maintain a coordinated monitoring and evaluation framework with WorkSafe NZ that tracks benefit realisation of the investment portfolio
  • Support partner organisations and front-line staff to understand and apply investment criteria
  • Develop and maintain a monitoring and evaluation framework that supports the design, implementation and delivery of initiatives
  • Ensure the Design and Implementation teams are supported with insight from appropriate data
  • Support Implementation Leads to develop appropriate monitoring and evaluation approaches
  • Monitor and report on delivery performance and benefit realisation for the Levy and Workplace Safety portfolio and levy products

What we are looking for:

You will have knowledge and experience of funding/incentive decision making within the public sector along with strong analytical skills to ensure statistical and performance data is interpreted for benefit realisation of the investment portfolio. A sound understanding of procurement and contract management would be beneficial.

You will need to bring strong influencing, leadership, negotiation and relationship management skills, preferably from working within large and complex environments to truly succeed here. Your demonstrated programme and consultant management experience is crucial. But most of all, you'll be driven by challenges and have a passion for excellence!
