The NZ Police Information and Communications Technology Service Centre are seeking to appoint an experienced Applications Support Analyst to the Technology Operations group, based at the Royal New Zealand Police College, Porirua.

 

The Police ICT Service Centre is here to save police officers time, enhance their safety and contribute to making New Zealand a safer community. To prevent crime and crashes, Police needs information delivered to the front line that is reliable and able to be accessed anywhere, anytime. Making this happen is the daily work of our people in the ICT Service Centre. With our operational colleagues and partners we create world leading solutions in mobile, computer aided dispatch, intelligence, networks and security. We are looking for people that have the technical expertise but most importantly share our vision for innovation, partnerships and being part of a positive work environment.

 

Application Support Analysts provide 2nd and 3rd level technical and functional application support, administration and maintenance to resolve application and system problems, minimising disruptions to the applications that Police users depend on.

 

This is a dynamic and challenging position, and the successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

 

Skills and Experience

Experience and knowledge of working in an ICT support role, preferably providing application support.

Ability to write technical documentation clearly and precisely

 

Demonstrate the following SFIA 6 Framework skills:

ASUP (Application Support) Level 4;

USUP (Incident Management) Level 4;

CHMG (Change Management) Level 3;

PBMG (Problem Management) Level 4;

DTAM (Data Management) Level 4.

 

Competencies – You will demonstrate the following:

Deliver - Individual Contributor

Solve - Individual Contributor

Innovate - Individual Contributor

Additional Information

The successful applicant will reside in the Wellington area, and will be required to undergo a full reference and security check prior to any offer of employment.
