Salary Range $61,092.00 - $82,659.00

You will lead a team (one of three teams) that consists of three Police Employees formed to take the administrative load from front line Policing staff. This role also involves the 'hands on' use of various Police systems including exacting data entry and attention to detail. You will be in a position of trust and confidence with daily exposure to information which is sensitive.

The role of the FMC File Coordinator is to provide administrative support to the Northland Police, including providing data quality assurance and ensuring an effective and efficient file management service and the ability to see the 'big picture' of the FMC. You will lead and support all FMC team members to ensure standards in the file management process are upheld.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following person specifications.

Skills – you will have:

  • Enter and update information in Police systems in a timely manner and in accordance with the National Recording Standard.
  • Use discretion when dealing with problems in an appropriate manner
  • Collaborate and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and with external organisations.
  • Recognise and respond to individual differences and diversity.
  • Lead and support the development and maintenance of a high performing team.
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 45 words per minute.


Experience – you will have:

  • Managing high data entry volumes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Proven ability to identify service delivery issues and develop solutions to address them.
  • Demonstrated experience in using diverse computer systems.
  • Ability to interpret National Recording Standards.
  • Capable of leading and working within a team environment.

  • Shift work is a component of this role, including weekends and public holidays.
