Family Harm Intervention Coordinator

Permanent, Full-time

Remuneration range: $80,902.00 - $109, 457.00

New Zealand Police is the lead agency responsible for reducing crime and enhancing community safety.  The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of our business by reducing the incidents and impact of family harm (FH).


This is a position where you will be expected to gather and collate information from a range of sources, identify the underlying causes and make recommendation to reduce the incidents and impact of FH.   You will also conduct scans to identify and make recommendations as to what social services exist and the service delivery gaps that exist within the Rotorua Area. The successful applicant will need to work collaboratively with a wide range of organisations at all levels.


Skills and Experience - to be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Be able to present complex issues (written or verbally) clearly to a range of audiences. 
  • Collaborate and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Draw information from a range of sources, consolidate and analyse the available information and clearly present the findings.
  • Design, develop and deliver solutions in partnership with stakeholders.


Special Requirements:

  • Successful applicant must obtain a clearance under the Vulnerable Children's Act
  • Experience working with Social Sector providers desirable.
  • Applicants must be a NZ or Australian citizen, or a NZ resident, or have a valid NZ work visa to apply for this position
