Intelligence Support Officer

New Zealand Police


Permanent, Full-time

Remuneration range: $46,336.00 - $62,689.00

The Team:   Intelligence is a key component of Police Critical Command Information, which underpins the Prevention First National Operating Strategy. It is used to inform and drive the deployment of operational resources, enable understanding of the criminal environment and facilitate evidence-based action, particularly in respect of priority and repeat victims, offenders and locations.


The Position:   The Intelligence Support Officer will contribute to the prevention of crime by providing specialist support to the intelligence unit, which will include the collection, collation, storage, retrieval and dissemination of information for intelligence purposes.


The Person:  We are seeking applicants who are enthusiastic and motivated, who have an eye for detail and will contribute to a team environment.

  • Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail with good time management skills, including meeting individual and team deadlines.

Special Requirements

  • The successful applicant will be required to obtain a national security clearance classification.
  • The successful applicant will attend residential training at RNZPC (Wellington) for a period of up to 2 weeks and undertake ongoing Intelligence specific training.
  • The successful applicant may be required to work outside normal business hours.
  • Applicants must be a NZ or Australian citizen, or a NZ resident, or have a valid NZ work visa to apply for this position
