Salary Range $46,336 - $62,689

Police Intelligence plays a pivotal role in prevention policing by informing and driving the deployment of operational resources, providing an understanding of the criminal environment and facilitating evidence-based action. Police Intelligence units in the Auckland region are currently looking for dynamic, highly organised, self-starters to fill multiple vacancies as Intelligence Support Officers in our team.


Intelligence Support Officers contribute to prevention of crime and road trauma and disruption of criminal activity through providing a range of specialist support services. For example, producing association charts, conducting specialised vetting checks, producing risk assessments, researching and collating information, contributing to intelligence products, and providing support to District Command Centres.


Skills - you will be able to:

  • Collect, analyse and disseminate information appropriately to assist decision-makers
  • Develop and maintain a wide range of positive relationships (internal and external)
  • Research, collect and conduct preliminary analysis to identify and highlight any key emerging trends/issues/risks


Experience - you will have:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to develop reports and presentations to a high standard
  • Experience conducting internet-based research and preliminary analysis
  • Experience writing clear, succinct and useful documents


Additional information:

  • Applicants must be a New Zealand Citizen or have permanent residency and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret national security clearance
  • Applicants must also satisfactory meet the Police vetting & reference check requirements
  • The successful applicant must reside in Auckland
  • There are multiple positions available
