Salary Range: $57,897.00 - $78,333.00

The Court Escort Management Group have a position available to fill the role of Authorised Officer (AO) based at Waikato DHQ (Hamilton Central Police Station).  This is a permanent role.


The role of AO provides custodial support to Police across the whole District.  This includes the management of custody matters before the courts.


The role requires the use of various Police and standard computer programs.


The role is a team based one, in a custodial environment predominantly in the District Courts, and sometimes in the Police Station. The roster is predominantly Monday – Friday, working a variety of Early and Late shift, and some Saturdays. If working at the Police Station it is a 24/7 roster with a variety of Early, Late and night shifts.


Training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Special Requirements:

  • Applicants must be available to attend a paid residential course.
  • Must be able to pass a physical competence test.
  • Must provide a medical clearance to attempt a physical competence test.
  • Applicants must be NZ or Australian citizens or have permanent residence in New Zealand.
