Job Description

Our Gracefield site is an important hub for research and development in New Zealand and we are getting it future ready. We will be working towards changes that will make the Gracefield Innovation Quarter (GIQ) a hub of innovation for New Zealand, with fit-for-purpose facilities for our people and customers.

We want to create a space for our people to do their best work, where it's easy for our customers to engage with us and access the R&D support they need, and where businesses and innovation organisations can come together to drive innovation and R&D in New Zealand.

To enable us to achieve this, we are looking for a Delivery Lead who will work across multiple procurement models to ensure successful delivery of our Capital Works projects. Taking a lead role for critical vertical/horizontal infrastructure projects will ensure the immediate needs of our stakeholders are met and assist GIQ in meeting its long-term investment priorities You will play a pivotal role as part of significant change at Callaghan Innovation.

The successful applicant should have a Prince2 certification and experience managing construction projects from design conception to completion across the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. This is a fast-paced role and would be suitable for someone who enjoys autonomy within their position, taking responsibility of making important decisions with minimal supervision. You will be looking at identifying and reducing risks, keeping a tight control of project delivery targets and providing insightful recommendations to senior management and contractors in order to support a successful delivery of the project. You will have the skills to communicate complex ideas effectively and work effectively with people at all levels.
